Welcome to November 2013

NaBloPoMo November 2013Time to dust off the old typing fingers and get ready to BLOG. It's National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo), and this is my sixth year writing. (I have 180 posts tagged as NaBloPoMo, but I didn't tag the first year in 2008. Somewhere my math is off!)

I have plenty to write about, and I won't subject you to drivel about my favorite TV shows like last year. But I will give you a recommendation: watch The Trophy Wife. It's a comedy on ABC that is about family life, and it has Bradley Whitford ... Love some Josh Lyman in any form (although honestly I never watched his buddy cop show with Colin Hanks a few years back). Basically I just don't want it to be canceled!

We're gearing up for Jane's second birthday party ... She's turning two in a week, but we're having her party this Saturday in Danville. I say it's her second party, although we didn't really have a party for her first birthday except for a Google Hangout with family. Math is difficult here too. Whatever the case, her party is going to have a rainbow theme, and I ordered a balloon centerpiece that should be cute as long as the "2" balloon that I bought from Oriental Trading will actually work. I'll write more about it when I have a picture. I have many other ideas and am trying to scale back.

Hope you're having a wonderful start to November -- the very best month. I just finished exercising and am about to head out for supplies then come back and bake the cake (two pumpkin bundts stacked to look like a round pumpkin) and make a rainbow pasta salad. I'll probably make the rainbow fruit salad in the morning. I also have photo prints from her second trip around the sun that I need to hang up plus many, many, many balloons to blow up, string and hang. Should be fun!
